Silkara Bespoke Furnishings makes custom curtains, sells curtains, and provides sofa making, sofa repair and
upholstery services. We decide why and how your personal data is used, which makes us the “Data Fiduciary”
under the DPDP Act.

Personal data we collect

Details you give us in our contact or enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number and message.
Details you give us for an order: your address, site or installation address, measurements, photos of your space or
furniture, and design preferences.
Payment information: payment status, transaction ID and amount. Card, UPI and bank details are collected directly
by Razorpay and are not stored by us.
Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and time spent,
through cookies and similar tools.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as passwords, health data or biometric data.

How we use your data

To reply to your enquiries and send quotes.
To process orders, take measurements, deliver and install products, and provide repair services.
To process payments and issue invoices.
To send order updates and service messages.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
To improve our Website and services.
To send offers or updates only if you have agreed to receive them. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Consent

us. Withdrawal does not affect anything done before it, and we may be unable to continue a service that needs the

Payments and Razorpay

Online payments on our Website are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, a payment gateway that is
PCI-DSS compliant. When you pay, you are taken to a secure Razorpay page. We receive only the payment
confirmation, transaction ID, amount and status. Razorpay handles your payment data under its own privacy policy
and terms, available on razorpay.com.

Cookies

Our Website may use cookies and similar tools to make the site work, remember your preferences and understand
how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Website may not
work properly if you do.

Sharing of your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only when needed:
With Razorpay and banks, to process payments.
With delivery, tailoring, installation or repair partners, only the details needed to do the work.
With website hosting, email and analytics providers who help us run the Website.
With government or law enforcement bodies when required by law or a valid legal order.

Transfer of data outside India

Some of our service providers (such as hosting, email or analytics tools) and payment partners may store or
process data on servers outside India. We take steps to make sure such transfers follow the DPDP Act and any
restrictions the Government of India notifies. If you pay with an international card, your payment data may be
processed across borders by Razorpay and the card networks.

How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for
example, tax and accounting records). After that, we delete it or make it anonymous. Enquiry form details are kept
only as long as needed to respond to you and follow up.

How we protect your data

We follow reasonable security practices as required by Section 43A of the IT Act and the 2011 Rules. These

Using HTTPS/SSL encryption on our Website.
Letting a PCI-DSS compliant gateway handle all card data.
Limiting access to personal data to staff who need it.
